Mr. Jackson P. Kola is the Senior Lawyer with the Firm. He had obtained Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) at the University of Papua New Guinea in April 2011. In November of the same year, Mr. Kola completed his Post Graduate Legal Training at the Legal Training Institute and was admitted to the Bar to practice as a Lawyer in the National Court and Supreme Court of Papua New Guinea.
Mr. Kola was employed by Paul Paraka Lawyers as a graduate Lawyer on the 9 February 2012. He was supervised by various Senior Lawyers and had mainly practiced criminal law with the Firm until May 2012. In May 2012, he was employed by Jema Lawyers as one of the pioneer lawyers of the then newly established Firm. Mr. Kola practiced both civil and criminal law under the supervision of various senior lawyers until May 2016. He has dealt with conveyancing maters such as contract for sale, MoU’s and other agreements.
Mr Kola participated in Court sanctioned mediations as well as other arbitration matters. He also involved in general litigation matters at the District Court, National Court and Supreme Court. Mr. Kola also dealt with commercial matters. He had experience in other fields of law as well.
Prior to joining us, Mr. Kola worked in his own Law Firm, Jacksons Lawyers. He also worked with various other law firms including Manase & Co. Lawyers. Mr. Kola has vast experience in corporate law, commercial law, conveyancing law and litigation.
